When you read the site

We count page views to learn which articles are useful. For each visit we record the page, the time, the site that sent you (for example Google or YouTube), your country and region, and your device type and browser. We don't store your IP address and we don't set tracking cookies: repeat visits on the same day are counted with a one-way scrambled code that changes daily. A small script also reports how long a page was read and how far down it was scrolled.

When you click a recommendation

Clicks on ozghosty.com/offer/… and go.ozghosty.com links are recorded the same way (no IP stored) so we know which videos and pages led to them. The partner you land on has its own privacy policy.

If you create an account

You can sign in with Google or Facebook to comment. We receive and store your email address, name and profile picture from that service, plus the username you choose and the comments you post. We use a cookie to keep you signed in. We don't post to your accounts and we never sell your data. If you tick "email me", we'll send you new explainers; every email has an unsubscribe link.

Newsletter

If you subscribe we store your email and the page you subscribed from, and use it only to send OzGhosty updates.

Third parties

  • Videos are YouTube embeds that only load when you press play (from youtube-nocookie.com); YouTube's privacy policy applies once they do.
  • Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
  • The site runs on Cloudflare.

Your choices

You can delete your account at any time from your account page, which removes your account and the text of your comments. To ask about or delete anything else, leave a comment or contact us through YouTube.
